Waltham Garden Club Scholarship
The Waltham Garden Club Scholarship for $500 is available to high school students who currently reside in Waltham, Massachusetts. Students are eligible if they attend Waltham High School or any other four-year accredited secondary program. For more information click here.
Waltham Day on the Common
The Club participates in this free event on the Waltham Common by providing activities for kids, as well as sharing gardening tips and information. Free seed packets for fall planting.
House in Bloom at Gore Place
A collaborative effort between Gore Place and the Waltham Garden Club. Members showcase their creativity by designing fresh floral arrangements that complement the spectacular interior of the 1806 mansion.

Plantings on the Common
The Waltham Garden Club joint ventures with the Consolidated Public Works Department in planting seasonal flowers on the Waltham Common in Spring and Fall. It's a fun activity and the large planters look beautiful when full and blooming.
Farm Day at Waltham Fields Community Farm
The Waltham Garden Club contributes to this community day by coordinating a seed giveaway to families and organizing a pumpkin tic-tac-toe and potato patch activities for youngsters.
Memorial Garden
A memorial garden to past members of the Waltham Garden Club has been established at the site of the city’s Archive and Records Center at 260 Grove St., Waltham.
Festival of Trees
Members contribute to the decoration and donation of a themed holiday tree for Massachusetts Horticultural Society's annual fundraiser at Elm Bank in Wellesley, MA. The beautifully decorated trees, donated by various community groups, can be viewed by the public during the festival and visitors can vote for their favorite tree and enter a raffle to win one.
Waltham City Hall Holiday Decorating
Waltham Garden Club members decorate the interior of Waltham’s City Hall for the holiday season. This is a tradition that many in our community can see and appreciate.

Paine Estate Annual Holiday Event
Waltham Garden Club members kick off the holiday season for the club and the community with a festive luncheon, amazing raffle baskets, music, and a holiday floral demonstration all within Waltham's stunning Robert Treat Paine Estate as our backdrop.
Gardening for FUN at Sheepshearing Festival at Gore Place
Members host a tent with children’s activities such as seed planting, digging for potatoes in a bark mulch “Potato Patch,” and making plant-related arts and crafts, as well as distributing hundreds of seed packets to visitors.
Annual Plant Sale & Seed Giveaway
Every spring, Waltham Garden Club members separate and pot up their own perennials to sell to the public. Buyers can be assured that all plants are appropriate to our climate, and members are on hand to describe the plants and answer any questions. Seeds collected from members' gardens are free to all.
Waltham High School Prom Flowers
Each spring, members work with the Waltham High School senior class members to create table centerpieces for the Senior Prom.
